Chheharta Sahib:- Chheharta Sahib is a village located 7 km west of Amritsar city of Punjab in India. The town derives its name from the Gurudwara Chheharta Sahib, founded by the fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjan Dev Ji. History Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh guru, had a large well in this area. The Town attracts huge crowds on Basant Panchmi, in which the Old tradition of Kite Flying is still very common. The crowd is enriched by people wearing yellow turbans, which hold significance for the spring festival. Gurdwara San Sahib: Gurdwara San Sahib is situated in the village of Basarke in Amritsar. Guru Amar Das ji was named the next Guru by Guru Angad Dev ji, but Datu ji, the son of Guru Angad Dev, was sure that, as the Guru’s son, he should be appointed the Guru. He forced Guru Amar Das Ji to leave Goindwal Sahib. Guru Amar Das, being a humble person, returned to his family village of Basarke. Guru Amar Das finally relented and returned with the Sikhs.
Gurudwara Bir Baba Buddha:- Gurudwara Bir Baba Buddha is situated in the revenue limits of the village of Thatta, 20 km south of Amritsar. The shrine honours and commemorates Baba Buddha (1506 – 1631), the venerable Sikh of the time of Guru Nanak who lived long enough to anoint five succeeding Gurus. Guru Arjan was blessed with just one son who later became the sixth Sikh Guru, Guru Hargobind.
GURDWARA TAHLA SAHIB:- TAHLA SAHIB GURDWARA, sacred to both Guru Tegh Bahadur and Guru Gobind Singh, is in the revenue limits of Rajgarh Kubbe, a village 5 km southeast of Maur Kalan in Guru Tegh Bahadur often came from Maur Kalan while out for his afternoon ride. Guru Gobind Singh visited the place once from Talvandi Sabo during the chase. The memorials raised in honour of the Gurus were later enclosed in what came to be known as Gurdwara Tahia Sahib. The Gurdwara is managed by the local sangat.
SHAHID BABA DEEP SINGH GURUDWARA:- SHAHID BABA DEEP SINGH GURUDWARA AMRITSAR The great Sikh scholar and martyr Baba Deep Singh was mortally wounded here. Baba Deep Singh, the greatest Sikh scholar of his time, took up the sword on a mission to restore the sanctity of the Golden Temple. He, along with five thousand faithful Sikhs, fought against the Muslim forces of Jahan Khan. Baba Deep Singh was fatally wounded in the neck but had vowed to die in the precincts of the Golden Temple. Although mortally wounded, Baba Deep Singh was able to continue fighting until he was able to make his way to the Sacred Pool of the Golden Temple, where he finally expired.
